Your Health Is Important

Your health is important. Your mental and emotional health play important roles in your overall health and well-being.

Struggling with mental and emotional health can impact multiple areas of your life including how you think and feel about yourself, your relationships and your quality of life.

While struggling with mental and emotional health can be challenging there is hope.

Similar to other areas of health, you can take steps to improve your mental and emotional well-being and counselling can help.

How Counselling Can Help

Counselling is a healthy and effective way to get support with addressing a variety of challenges that impact mental and emotional health [2].

From your very first session, your counsellor will work with you to help you feel heard and understood.

Your counsellor will work with you to build a positive therapeutic relationship that is based on trust, positive rapport, and understanding.

Together, your counsellor will work with you to identify and work towards goals that are important to you.

Yes, you will focus on the area that is most important to you to address first. Your counsellor will work with you to create mutually agreed upon goals that reflect the area you’d like to focus on.
How long you work with your counsellor depends on multiple factors including your hopes and goals for counselling.

The frequency and length of counselling varies for each person. For example one client may see their counsellor once per week for four months then bi-weekly for two and on an as-needed basis after that. Other clients may see a counsellor for six sessions in total while another may see their counsellor for over a year.

At Inspiring Pathways, we respect that you’re investing your time, energy and effort in counselling.

As a part of honouring your investment, we review your goals, progress, and your experiences in counselling on a regular basis.
